Membership of the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence is critical for survivors of domestic violence. The support of our allies and community members ensures that our collective efforts to end domestic violence remain a priority within our communities and local governments.

NYSCADV has three levels of membership available to choose from:

Member Programs
Organizational Associates
Individual Associates

NYSCADV Member Program Membership

Member Programs must:
  • Have a focus on providing services to battered women and their children
  • Be an OCFS licensed program OR
  • Have been approved/contracted by the local district/county to provide residential or non-residential services to survivors of domestic violence and their children

    To join - you must also read our
    Principles for Practice. By becoming a NYSCADV member, you will be joining with our large, and growing membership that has signed onto these principles. You must also fill out our NYSCADV Member Programs - Membership application (Pdf). and pay annual dues.

  • Free or low cost trainings and annual membership meeting
  • Voting credential for electing board representative
  • Eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors
  • And the full and undivided attention of the NYSCADV staff who view service to our member programs as our highest priority

    Becoming a Member of NYSCADV is just one of many ways that you can join us in our effort to end domestic violence. You may also consider partnering with us with a Donation, or by becoming an Intern or Volunteer for our many ongoing projects.




    NYSCADV Organizational Associates Membership


    To become an Organizational Associate you should be: An organization who wants to support statewide work to end domestic violence We need every organization in New York to support our work. We want you to be a member of NYSCADV so we can work together to end domestic violence.

    This category of membership applies to Organizations that have an interest, but not a sole focus, on domestic violence victim services.

    To join - you must also read our
    Principles for Practice. By becoming a NYSCADV member, you will be joining with our large, and growing membership that has signed onto these principles. You must also fill out our NYSCADV Organizational Associate Membership application and pay annual dues.

    To become an Individual Associate you should be an Individual who:
    wants to support statewide work to end domestic violence. We need every individual in New York to support our work. We want you to be a member of NYSCADV so we can work together to end domestic violence.

    We cannot do this work alone. It is only through the collaborative efforts within our communities can we reduce violence against women and children.     Please note - NYSCADV must verify each Membership that is processed to ensure that it meets the criteria required. If the program, organization or individual application does not meet the NYSCADV membership criteria your payment will be returned to you. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to process any returns.
