Legislation and Policy Advocacy
In collaboration with its members, agencies, advocates, and other
coalitions, NYSCADV monitors proposed national, state, and local
legislation and regulations affecting victims of domestic violence
and their children.
NYSCADV educates, trains and advises members and other advocates on
legislative and policy changes and process, and encourages our members
communicate with their legislators.
We also provide input to various agency policies related to
survivors and domestic violence programs, as well as participate on
committees and work groups that address a variety of social justice issues.
