Director of Advocacy
Provide supervision to court advocates and student interns who assist clients at Central Islip Courts and Riverhead Correctional Facility. Assist clients in filing orders of protection, child custody and support. Oversee advocacy department including training, reporting and supervision. Serve on agency management team. Able to work closely with judges, lawyers and court staff.
Knowledge of domestic violence issues, experience working in the court system and bachelor’s degree preferred.

Assist transitional housing clients in locating and securing permanent housing. Provide case-management services including assessment of needs and barriers, budget planning and self- sufficiency skills. Develop relationships with landlords and property managers. Review leases and residential contracts, familiarize clients with rights and responsibilities. Conduct home visits and provide referrals. Transport clients to housing appointments.
Knowledge of social services and housing opportunities
Clean driver’s license
