FEEDBACK REQUEST: New York State Domestic Violence Funding And Confidentiality Survey Draft

At the 2015 Annual Meeting, NYSCADV made the following announcement and invitation, that we would like to extend to those not in attendance at the meeting:

As requested by membership, we are preparing to conduct an extensive statewide survey regarding the funding of domestic violence services in New York State. The survey will be designed to:

  • Get a clear picture of the current New York State funding structure
  •  Better understand the current funding structure's effects on survivors' privacy, safety, and ability to access services
  •  Explore the current structure's effects on programs and their ability to provide survivor-centered, trauma informed services
  •  Gather feedback and ideas from programs on ways to modify the current structure to improve access and ensure stable funding

We are currently soliciting feedback from domestic violence programs, funders, and allies regarding the design of the survey. If you are interested in reviewing the survey and providing comments, suggested additions and changes before it is launched, please follow this link to the draft survey. Provide comments and feedback using track changes, then send your updated document to
