 cement\, public charge policy\, and other extreme and cruel actions on inc
 ome supports\, nutrition\, health care\, and immigration.\n\nFear and conf
 usion because of immigration enforcement or immigration status concerns — 
 known as the chilling effect — are causing people to disenroll from progra
 ms or forgo benefits for which they are eligible. Now\, there is evidence 
 that immigrants and their families have been deterred from accessing neces
 sary economic and nutrition supports and medical treatment for COVID-19 be
 cause of immigration enforcement or immigration status concerns.\n\nIn thi
 s webinar\, we’ll hear reports from experts in the healthcare field -- a p
 rimary care physician from Massachusetts and medical-legal partnership coo
 rdinator from North Carolina -- who will provide a firsthand view of what’
 s happening and share insights about their work serving immigrants and the
 ir families in light of the COVID-19 crisis and implementation of public c
 harge policy changes. We’ll also hear about new research on what’s happeni
 ng in the broader immigrant-serving field during the COVID-19 crisis\, wha
 t response efforts have and have not done to support immigrant families\, 
 and how organizations have taken action to respond to this crisis. PIF cam
