 available to low-income New Yorkers. It will include a review of:\n\n(a)	th
 e different types of public benefits including cash assistance\, SNAP\, HE
 AP\, and child care\;\n(b)	the basic eligibility rules\; \n(c)	the applicati
 on process\;\n(d)	issue spotting using case examples and hypotheticals\; an
 d\n(e)	housing protections under VAWA.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to su
 bmit questions during the registration process.\n\nPresenter:\nSusan Antos
 \, Senior Staff Attorney\, Empire Justice Center.\n\n\nEmpire Justice Cent
 er has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Boa
 rd as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of
  New York. This program has been approved for 1.5 CLE towards Professional
  Practice in accordance with the requirements of the Continued Education B
 oard. This course is appropriate for both new and experienced attorneys.\n
 \nIf you are seeking CLE and are working outside of the not-for-profit sec
 tor\, there is a $25 fee per credit for receiving CLE. Checks should be ma
 de out to Empire Justice Center and mailed to the attention of Michelle Pe
 terson along with your Attorney Affirmation form. Please contact Michelle
