 will be offering a webinar on basic interstate custody issues on November 
 2\, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EST. \n\nThis training will provide parti
 cipants with an overview of the various federal and state laws that govern
  interstate custody cases. The training will specifically address the need
 s of advocates and coalition staff who work with survivors in interstate c
 ases at the local\, state\, and national level. Case scenarios will be use
 d to demonstrate how advocates can help survivors address the economic\, s
 afety and legal issues involved when they cross state lines to flee abuse.
  Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during the present
 ation. \n\nThe LRC is a nonprofit organization based in Takoma Park\, Mary
 land\, that works to improve legal representation for domestic violence su
 rvivors in interstate custody cases. The LRC helps survivors to obtain leg
 al representation for such cases and provides technical assistance to vict
 im advocates and attorneys who are assisting victims in such cases.
