NYSCADV plays an instrumental role in the passage, implementation and enforcement of state and federal legislation that improves the lives of domestic violence survivors and their families.  Our priorities include increasing funding for domestic violence programs and services, expanding housing options for domestic violence survivors, improvements to New York’s criminal and family court systems, and ensuring equity for all domestic violence survivors.

  • NYSCADV holds an annual Budget Advocacy Day to educate legislators and regulators on pressing issues and to ensure the voices of domestic violence survivors are heard.

    NYSCADV's 2025 Budget Advocacy Day will occur on Monday, February 23, 2026. All DV survivors, advocates, program staff, allies and stakeholders are invited to attend in person.

    *Please note that DV survivors and advocates who cannot participate in Albany are encouraged to support the event from their local communities. A toolkit will be circulated shortly. Registration is not needed to participate remotely.
