This workshop will provide the opportunity to explore In Her Shoes: Economic Justice Curriculum, developed by the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WCADV), an immersive program that provides participants the opportunity to follow the story of a woman experiencing domestic violence while navigating various systems and decisions leading to unknown outcomes. In this 2 part series, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an abbreviated version of the In Her Shoes Program and discussion to gain a stronger understanding of its effectiveness as a tool. Following this, the presenter will provide an overview of the curriculum, explore effective uses and audiences with attendees, discuss strategies for most effectively facilitating the program, and share “lessons learned” to maximize attendee learning while operating from a trauma-informed lens.
