Mary Kay to Sponsor the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s Legislative Day of Action

For the second year, Mary Kay Inc. will serve as the primary sponsor for the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s (NYSCADV) annual Legislative Day of Action.

Through their Lobbying for Good program, Mary Kay corporate executives and members of their New York based independent beauty consultants sales team work in collaboration with state domestic violence coalitions to lobby Congress and state legislatures on issues including the Violence Against Women Act and, most recently, teen dating violence awareness and prevention.

In Albany on Monday May 8th, Mary Kay consultants and local domestic violence program staff will be meeting with their legislators to discuss critical legislation to protect survivors, promote justice and prevent domestic violence. Mary Kay’s sponsorship for the day also includes the Mary Kay Power Lunch for all Day of Action participants and the presence Mary Kay’s iconic pink Cadillacs on display by the West Capitol Park.

Mary Kay also sponsored NYSCADV’s Legislative Advocacy Day in 2016. For more than 20 years, Mary Kay has collaborated with state domestic violence coalitions to lobby Congress and state legislatures on issues affecting survivors of domestic abuse. Additionally, Mary Kay has given more than $50 million to domestic violence prevention and awareness programs in an effort to end abuse.

P.S. Read NYSCADV 2017 memorandum of support for four bills in the New York State Legislature.
