  • Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes (FCSFL), incorporated in 1962 as a non-profit single service provider of general counseling serving children, individuals and families. Today, FCSFL has multiple programs including Domestic Violence, Child Sexual Abuse Assessment and Treatment, Trauma Therapy and General Counseling, LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, transgender, queer/questioning) Support and Advocacy, Employee Assistance, Hispanic Bilingual Family Services and Domestic Violence Accountability.

    In 1984 Family Counseling began the Child and Adolescent Sexual Abuse Program which expanded to Trauma services in 2013. Family Counseling’s Domestic Violence Program began in 1988. FCSFL Bilingual Family Services Program began over ten years ago assisting Hispanic families in our community locate, access and secure needed services. The Bilingual Family Services Program is committed to breaking down cultural biases and barriers that often hinder the Hispanic population from accessing support services such as counseling and domestic violence. The Center of the Finger Lakes, a program of FCSFL as of 2016, is the only provider of LGBTQ services within the counties served.”

  • Hope’s Door seeks to end domestic violence and to empower survivors to achieve safety, independence, and healing from the trauma of abuse. We have served victims of domestic violence since 1980.Our victim services, community education, and prevention programs provided potentially life-saving services to more than 11,000 persons last year. Our services include shelter, hotline, danger assessment, safety planning, counseling, support groups, advocacy, information and referral, and an extensive school and community based education and awareness program.

Safe Horizon partners with governmental and other community agencies and also advocates for policies on a local, state, and national level on behalf of those affected by violence and abuse.
