Maintaining Safety & Security in a Digital Age Technology increasingly affects our lives and has a significant impact on survivors. Emerging technologies and the ways in which abusers misuse technology pose a challenge for victim safety, privacy, and confidentiality. This training will look at how perpetrators misuse technology as another tool to stalk, abuse, and further control victims. We will also identify strategies for basic safety planning around technology risks and privacy while focusing on how to empower survivors around tech. Finally, we’ll also discuss how our own technology use as service providers can pose privacy and safety risks and how to avoid those.
