NNEDV Virtual Technology Summit 2021

Monday, July 19, 2021Thursday, July 22, 2021

The Safety Net Project at the National Network to End Domestic Violence is going virtual again for our annual Technology Summit. Tech Summit hosts pivotal conversations about emerging issues at the intersection of tech and domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Advocates, legal professionals, privacy experts, and technologists come together each year to improve our response to tech abuse, support for survivors, and to truly harness tech for the good of survivors and communities.

This year, we’ll look at how issues like the digital divide, non-consensual image sharing, access for survivors with disabilities, privacy, and tech use in the pandemic impact survivors.

Over the course of 4 days, you can join 9 sessions such as:

· Digital Literacy to Digital Safety: Barriers Survivors from Marginalized Communities Experience

· Lessons From Using Technology with Survivors During the Pandemic

· Tech for Tu/Ni/You: Bridging the Divide for Limited Proficient Survivors

For those working with survivors, tech safety is a critical part of safety planning. For those working with technology, understanding a survivor-centered, trauma-informed threat model is critical for design and implementation planning.
